The story follows Dante and his mysterious brother Vergil as they battle through Limbo; a dark, parallel dimension that shifts and reacts dynamically to the player's actions.
Players seamlessly switch between demonic and angelic weapons, as well as firearms to chain together elaborate high-scoring combos.
The game also features aggressive, momentum-based platforming and environmental puzzles that utilize Dante's ability to pull himself toward specific points in the world.
